What Makes Our School Unique?
Welcome to Hillwood High School! We are one of five high schools in Tennessee to receive recognition as an International Baccalaureate World School. Our AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) program is a college preparatory program that provides tutoring and classroom support for students who have the potential to go to college. Through AVID, students are encouraged, supported and prepared to tackle college preparatory work. These two programs in combination with our established Advanced Placement program, gives Hillwood another layer of academic excellence in our school community.
Our students represent a diverse population from many nations around the world. Parental and community support, an outstanding faculty, a strong curriculum, and students that are willing to be challenged at the highest academic level, are daily reminders of how unique we are at Hillwood High School.
