What Makes Our School Unique?
Welcome to DuPont Elementary School located in Old Hickory, Tennessee, A K-4 school that serves approximately 400 students. The faculty, staff, and administration at DuPont Elementary School are dedicated to the children and community in which they serve.
DuPont is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. We are proud of the standards of excellence that our faculty and staff uphold. High expectations for student achievement and success are encouraged daily.
It is our goal to provide a wide variety of educational experiences that will prepare our students for a successful future. Our teachers maintain high standards and expectations for student achievement and development. Students are encouraged to develop appropriate social behavior skills as well. We want our students to become responsible and productive citizens.

Who Attends Our School?
Students attending DuPont Elementary reside in the eastern most area of Davidson County and are zoned to McGavock High School. The elementary schools in the McGavock cluster are: Dodson, DuPont, Hermitage, Hickman, Andrew Jackson, Ruby Major, Napier Enhanced Option, McGavock, Pennington, Stanford Montessori, Tulip Grove and Una. Middle schools in this cluster are: Margaret Allen, Donelson, DuPont Hadley, DuPont Tyler, and Two Rivers.
