What Makes Our School Unique?
The name John Early has been synonymous with excellence in education for many decades in Nashville. Now, with a new building and renewed focus on Paideia we strive to propel teaching and learning through the use of progressive teaching strategies to reach an ever-changing student population.
John Early Paideia Magnet School teachers seek to actively engage students in their learning process by utilizing instructional strategies that meet the needs of all students. Teachers use seminars and Socratic Questioning to develop student thinking skills and appreciation of different ideas; product oriented coaching projects to engage students in problem solving and application of knowledge; and limited didactic instruction to encourage students to take ownership in their learning.
John Early Paideia Magnet is a community of learners including students, parents, and teachers who continuously seek better ways to assess, reflect, and propel teaching and learning.
