What Makes Our School Unique?

We offer four courses-for-credit to eighth graders. Students can earn high school credits in Geometry, Algebra 1, Physical Science, and/or Spanish 1. Our related arts programs include computers, art, strings, band, and physical education. One teacher has been added to the faculty through Title 1 funding. We are proud to offer advanced math and advanced language arts classes. We will continue to offer after school programs.

Seventh and eighth graders may participate in sports. Students may also work on the newspaper and yearbook.

We look forward to the challenges and opportunities ahead of us. We invite you to be a part of our middle school as we continue the legacy of service to the Donelson-Hermitage community.

Community Partners

Donelson Middle School students benefit from community programs such as DARE and GREAT -two programs sponsored by the Police Department to inform children of the dangers of drugs and gangs. The YMCA provides social skill building programs as well as before and after care for students. Vanderbilt University, David Lipscomb, TSU and MTSU have provided us with student teachers and practicum students.
