What Makes Our School Unique?
Welcome to McGavock Elementary School! Our school serves approximately 370 students in the heart of the Donelson Area. We value our diverse population of students and pride ourselves on our dedication toward providing the highest quality education to each individual student. We also proudly serve as an English Language Learner (ELL) center. Our faculty and staff strive to provide a positive learning environment where all students are motivated and challenged to fulfill their potential. We use a variety of strategies to engage students in learning and practicing new concepts. We strongly believe that students of all ability levels should interact and learn from each other, we practice this belief by integrating students of differing abilities throughout the educational program of the school. Our motto reflects our belief that students, teachers, parents, and the community can and should share the responsibility for meeting the academic, emotional, and social challenges our children face growing up. Please join us in this endeavor.

PENCIL Partners
PENCIL Foundation, a nonprofit organization, links community resources with Nashville public schools. A PENCIL Partner is a business or other community organization that teams up with a Metro school to volunteer time and donate resources that promote student success.
We are very fortunate to have these adopters for our school:
The volunteers and employees from these businesses offer their time and financial assistance by providing student incentives, buying supplies and equipment, and participating in schoolwide events and programs |
