Exciting things this year :
We will learn to add and subtract, tell time, and count money. We will learn about weather, solids and liquids. We will plant seeds and watched our plants grow. We will learn about compound words, synonyms, and much more. We will enjoy writing stories to share with others in our classroom.
Professional development:
I have attended the Balanced Literacy Workshop. I have been trained on the Solids and Liquids Science Kit. I enjoy going to the various professional development workshops because they give me wonderful activities and ideas to share with my children.

Why teach 1st grade?
Ilove seeing first graders learn. First grade is such an important year where the students are developing so much. I enjoy watching them get excited when they have figured our something new. They can take in so much new information and that is neat to watch.
What is your favorite color:
Ilove all colors.
Favorite Children's Book:
I love all books. My favorite authors are Dr. Suess, Eric Carle and David Shannon.

In person, on the telephone and by notes.
Special Event or Day:
There are so many activities that I look forward to sharing with your children. We will be doing many science activities.Also we will be learning how to read. We will oslo enjoy various field trips that are scheduled for the year.
