We are looking forward to new Art Smart programs and visits from a teaching artist.  We will make terrariums and aquariums in science. It will be an exciting year!.

Ongoing professional development or continued education you have been working on this year
Recent workshops I have attended include our new reading and handwriting curriculum, and an online video content workshop. I'm looking forward to our classroom of tomorrow new technology which is on its way..

I attended Memphis State University B.S.E., majoring in Special Education and Elementary Education.

First grade picked me..

What is your favorite color?
My favorite color is purple.

What is you favorite children’s book?
I love all children's books. One of my newest favorites is V is for Volunteer by Michael Shoulders.

How do you prefer to communicate with your parents?
I prefer to communicate with my parents face to face.

We have Fun Fridays, and celebrate the seasons, along with schoolwide activities. Every day is a special day!

This is my 16th year at Una teaching First Grade. Before that, I taught Special Education at Bellshire Elementary for 4 years.
