Our School

Una School has 43 classrooms, 10 of these are in portables and 1 is maintained in the original white house building. The school also houses the following: cafeteria/auditorium, clinic, guidance office, media center, speech/language, social work and school psychologist office, resource special education, teacher work room, teacher lounge, office complex, art rooms, music rooms, playgrounds, and a kitchen food preparation area with two self serve lines. The newest addition to the building is newly constructed gymnasium furnished by the district.

Una Elementary School proudly presents a staff with a wide range of talents, skills and abilities nurturing an environment promoting success for all students. When students feel safe, they learn more fully. To maximize this reassurance, an automatic locking security door system provides safety for staff, faculty, parents and students. Students and staff are trained in District procedures to vacate the building should there ever be an actual emergency. Drills are conducted to ensure safe evacuation in the event of a true need.

The curriculum at Una consists of all required subjects to be taught at the K-4 grade levels for the Metropolitan Nashville Public School System. The subjects are the following:

Reading
Language Arts
