The Metropolitan Nashville Board of Education announces a vacancy in the following position:

CARPENTER - MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT
12 Months - Grade 7 - Base Hourly Pay $13.43

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:

High School Diploma or GED. Three (3) to five (5) years work experience in the carpentry trade. Two (2) years experience in door hardware installation; locking and key systems. Valid Tennessee Driver’s License.

Knowledge of standard practices, tools and equipment used in the carpentry trade; knowledge of the applicable building codes; skilled in safely using carpentry tools and equipment; ability to interpret and read blue prints; ability to walk, stoop, bend and lift moderate to heavy tools and equipment; ability to work a flexible schedule and/or over time if needed; ability to follow oral and written directions; ability to work successfully with minimum supervision.
