The Metropolitan Nashville Board of Education announces a vacancy in the following position:

School Bus Monitor
Transportation Department
194 days – 6.0 hours per day - Grade 4 - Base hourly rate $10.46
Flexible Schedule – Split Shift

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED. Two (2) years experience working with children ranging in ages from Pre-School to High School preferably in an instructional environment or a leadership, supervisory capacity.

Monitors and/or corrects student behavior and conduct while on board the school bus; enforces bus rules and regulations relative to student behavior aboard the school bus; assists driver with disciplinary reports as needed; assists the driver with loading and unloading students on and off the school bus; observes and monitors children to ensure their well being; follows up and makes incident reports to the appropriate personnel; reports any observed problems or unusual circumstances involving student behavior aboard the school bus.
