The Metropolitan Nashville Board of Education announces a vacancy in the following position:

Senior Accountant – Federal Programs
12 Months – Grade 11 -- Base Hourly Rate $21.46

Employment Standards:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) desired. Three (3) years accounting experience preferably in governmental accounting similar to MNPS; supplemented by training and/or experience in accounting principles, audit procedures, data processing and computer technology.

Complies, records and reviews various financial transactions; reconciles subsidiary and control accounts; prepares regular and special financial statements and reports; examines routine records of receipts and disbursements to determine legality, propriety and audit conformance; audits basic documents and prepares reports and recommendations.
