The Metropolitan Nashville Board of Education announces a vacancy in the following position:

Communications Manager – No Child Left Behind
12 Months – Grade 12 -- Base Hourly Rate $24.57

Employment Standards:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Mass Communications, Journalism or related field. Three (3) years experience in public relations, government affairs, legal affairs or reporting. Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point desired and other software applications a plus.

Researches and compiles information pertaining to various Federal programs, projects and initiatives; prepares reports, correspondence and other written materials; assists other MNPS departments with generating increased communication among stakeholders; works with department administrator in ensuring accurate flow of information to Local, State and Federal agencies; works with the Public Information Office in responding to internal and external information requests.
