Students Taking A Right Stand, Nashville (STARS) is a School-based Student Assistance Service Program that provides support for students and families who are at high risk of alcohol, other drugs, behavior programs and violence, including bulling. STARS specialists provide activities such as school-wide assemblies, classroom presentations, small support groups and individual counseling sessions. STARS also provides faculty training on how to recognize youth who need support and links students to community resources and organizations such as crisis intervention.
