The Metropolitan Nashville Public School System announces a vacancy in the following position:

                                                                    READING SPECIALIST
                                                                        Ross Elementary

QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants should be able to interact effectively with colleagues: work effectively with students: exhibit a strong working knowledge of best practices in reading instruction: demonstrate ability to make formal presentations to groups; exhibit effectiveness in the area of planning as aligned with student achievement data; demonstrate evidence of leadership skills at a local, regional, or national level; demonstrate evidence of participation in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the school improvement plan; demonstrate a proven ability to accommodate for the needs of diverse learners.

EDUCATION: K-8 teacher licensure and at least three (3) years of teaching experience in the elementary grades.

SALARY RANGE: Teacher Salary
