The Customer Service Center employees began taking calls and assisting walk-ins this week. A
phone system outage on Monday complicated the first day, but by the end of the week the staff
members were getting more comfortable in their new role. During the week we worked on several
issues related to routing departmental calls and district office visitors. We will be employing several
temporary employees beginning next week to assist in handling the spike in volume that the new
school year brings. A formal opening of the Customer Service Center is being planned for next week.

Several new and revised District Standard Operating Procedures will be reviewed and approved
by Cabinet in the next two weeks. We will highlight these changes to the Board and provide
for a thirty day advance notice for the Board when applicable.
