The revised MNPS website will go on-line the second week in August. It is built on the district’s new content management system which provides for an automated method of creating and approving website content without help from the technical programmers. This approach will require district departments to consistently monitor and update web content which should translate into better service for our customers. Within the next 30-60 days the first ten schools will bring their school websites up on this system and we hope to have all school websites on this platform by the end of the 2005-2006 school year.
The Customer Service Center continues aggressively pursuing their opening the first part of August. All of the positions are filled and the employees are working diligently in training on the new call
center software, the call protocols that have been established, and on the customer relation skills needed in this job. We have a great group of new employees and we are confident in their abilities to greet our customers and talk with them about their questions and issues.
The Customer Service Center will result in some new ways of serving our customers. In the next few Board letters we will highlight procedural changes resulting from the creation of the center.
