Duties and Functions of the Grounds Department are: 

 

1.        Mowing and trimming all school properties with the exception of where custodians have responsibility near the buildings.

 

2.        Aerating and reseeding of grounds when necessary.

 

3.        Aerating, fertilizing and reseeding ball fields upon request.

4.        Trimming shrubs and trees.

5.        Maintaining exterior water lines.

6.        Maintaining exterior sewer lines.

7.        Install and maintain fencing.

8.        Maintain asphalt drives.

9.        Maintain concrete walks.

10.     Maintain playground equipment.

11.     Provide material playground surfaces (low allergen, dust free, mulch).

12.     Provide gravel pathways where necessary.

13.     Construct exterior handicap ramps/walkways

14.     Provide for removal and hauling for debris and waste.
