Philosophy: Theater education is a humanistic activity. It is for the production of art. Theater education should help in the growth of the individual as an artist and as a human being. The theater student should be on an endless quest to refine the process of creating beauty. Theater education should open up the doors for students to discover and explore how to deal with the world around them, to approach problems and to have a voice. Those studying theater should have an understanding of the human condition, which should enrich their lives regardless of the career path they choose.
