DR. SANDY JOHNSON, CHIEF INSTRUCTIONAL OFFICER
PreK and 5 th Grade Standards-Based Report Cards
Under the leadership of Dr. Nancy Meador, progress is being made in
the development of the PreK standards-based report card. The PreK
Committee, which includes PreK teachers, principals, and central office
administrators have met for three days over the past two months. The
PreK standards-based report card will include math and reading
standards, fine and gross motor skill development, social and emotional
expectations, personal awareness, and student work habits.
The new PreK card will be ready to “roll out” by the end of the school year.
It is the goal of the committee to let summer school PreK sites pilot the new card this summer.
Work has just begun on the development of the 5 th grade standards-based
report card. The 5 th grade report card committee includes 5 th grade teachers,
principals, and central office administrators. This committee will be meeting regularly
throughout the spring.
Updated School Funding Totals
On the middle School Funding Totals document in the grants column, Donelson Middle
had the amount of $116,449.00 which should have been zero and Gra-Mar had zero
which should have been $116,449.00. We have corrected this error and sent you
the revised spreadsheets. This changed the totals and per pupil expenditure for these
two schools. Please excuse this error.
