LANCE LOTT, CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER

Chancery performance continues to be an issue for us although we have
had some improvement since report card processing was completed.
We have a day-long meeting scheduled with key Chancery personnel
where we will try to finalize our plan for significant improvements.

WOODY MCMILLIN, PUBLIC INFORMATION OFFICER

Drafted information piece on New Beginnings program and attended
meeting at Highland Heights with Sen. Harper and Rep. Pruitt.

On-site for employee termination proceedings and responded to
media inquiries about the procedure.

Prepared materials and then on-site for meeting with Davidson
County legislators, prepared follow-up letters to guests.

Responded to media inquiries on subjects including: two separate
sexual abuse claims, car accident involving Hillwood High School
students, special ed students, Value-Added scores, inauguration
activities, lockdowns at schools, childhood obesity, weapons search at Hillsboro.

Continued work on program with Nashville Superspeedway and
Indy Racing League to promote academic achievement.

Met with Nashville Alliance director to continue planning for
March 1 event at Hume Fogg High School and to discuss ways
of recognizing corporation donations.

Issued media advisories on quarterly meeting with mayor,
beginning of contract discussions with MNEA.

Completed Spanish version of Report Home; began work on February edition.

ompleted PDF files to put annual report on the website.
