Course Description
This course is designed for beginning band students. Students will be given an opportunity to learn about the various band instruments and make a choice of which to play based on physical makeup as directed by the teacher. The students will learn skills in posture, breathing, embouchure and tone production, as well as music reading. Basic music theory and history will be explored. Performance skills will be developed, as well as the ability to work in a group.
