My name is Marie Carter and this is my second year at Una. I am from Milwaukee, Wisconsin but have lived in Nashville for about 6 years. Here I completed my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I am currently working on my masters in curriculum and instruction. As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a teacher. I love all children and feel that teaching is the most important job a person could have. Not only are you granted the tremendous responsibility of ensuring that every student you come in contact with receives the knowledge and skills they need to lead a successful life; but you are also given the privilege of touching lives. Providing students with caring and supportive role models, I believe, is what they need most to have the confidence to accomplish every one of their dreams. |
