Our class has published a number of big books such as, Martin’s Dream, Maniac Metaphors, and Silly Similes.
Where did you attend school, what was your major?
I earned a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies from MTSU in 1997. Three years later, I received a M.A in Educational Leadership.

What made you decide to teach 4th grade?
I enjoy teaching just about any grade. Each level of education has a different set of expectations and experiences for the learner as well as the teacher. As a former 5th grade teacher, I feel I can help the students with their transition to middle school.
What is you favorite color?
I don’t have a certain favorite color. I enjoy warm hues.
What is your favorite children’s book?
Frindle is one my favorites.
How do you prefer to communicate with you parents?
I prefer to communicate by phone or note on the student’s agenda.

Our class had featured dancers in the Christmas program.
Other interesting facts or information to share:
I have taught 2nd, 1st, 4th,and 5th throught 8th. I have served as Title I Coordinator for four years before coming to Una. I have enjoyed my move to Una. I am also a mother of a beautiful 1 year old daughter.
